Florida Criminal History Information
The Florida
Department of Law Enforcement provides this secure Web site for
obtaining criminal histories. You must pay to search the database.
There is a per name search charge as well as a charge per record when
more than one individual matches your search criteria. The Web site
doesn't reveal what the record contains, but it should offer
sufficient identifying information (date of birth, name, physical
description). The Web site does note that Social Security numbers are
suppressed for records requested via the Internet. It does, however,
provide the last four digits for verification purposes. (et)
Florida offers
multiple databases for finding information about criminals. This
database queries data contained in all the databases, BUT it only
provides search options for criteria common to all. Find fugitives
(whereabouts unknown supervisory purposes), escapees (from
correctional facilities), inmates, and inmates released or scheduled
for release.
